A Food Manufacturing company are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team to work a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern. As a Maintenance Engineer you will optimise machinery output and product quality to minimise plant downtimethrough effective preventative maintenance and efficient response, whilst supporting Apprentices and Junior Engineers.

As a Maintenance Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.
- Responding to reactive machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently and ensuring regular planned maintenance is carried out.
- Take the lead role within the team by using your prior knowledge and experience and adapt this into your daily working practice.
- Identifying root causes and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns from occurring.
- Recording all relevant documentation accurately and on time and raise stock and non-stock request forms.
- Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues.
- Follow the communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise downtime by following a good engineering practice.

An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with the following.
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Mechanical bias with previous mechanical fitting skills.
- Knowledge of PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Prior welding and fabrication experience.
- Previous experience within the food, FMCG or fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to fit in with the role shift pattern.
