An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medicine division for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team on Chemotherapy room in cancer unit for a full time, permanent Junior Sister/ charge nurse post.

The post is for a Band 6 (Junior Sister/Junior Charge Nurse), therefore we will be looking to recruit a Senior Band 5 or an existing Band 6, who wishes to develop their clinical knowledge and management skills. You must be a team player who is driven to improve patient care and experience, ensuring the delivery of exceptional high quality care.

We are looking for a forward thinking, motivated senior nurse to help drive our values and behaviors forward, contributing positively to the department.

Applicants must have excellent demonstrable communication skills and be a visible leader supporting the management of the ward.

Undertake lead responsibility for ward management at the discretion of the senior nurse.

To work collaboratively with the senior sister and other sisters.

To provide care for our patients and family within a recognized frame work in accordance with NMC code of professional conduct and follow the National /Local/ Trust policies and health and safety legislations.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King’s Lynn is located near some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, along the north Norfolk coast, and not far from Sandringham House.

We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network. Some specialist services and clinics are provided in community facilities, such as the North Cambridgeshire hospital in Wisbech.
