**About the Role**:
We now wish to appoint **a HR Officer (Maternity cover). **This role will cover maternity leave for 6 months with the possibility of extension to 9 months.
Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will join a well-established organisation, be responsible for the full HR Generalist remit, including recruitment, training & development, reward, payroll, employee relations and various projects as and when required. This is ideally a full-time post of 37.5 hours, 5 days per week. After training you will have they opportunity of hybrid working, 2 days per week.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (NOT INTENDED TO BE EXCLUSIVE OR EXHAUSTIVE)**
- Ensure that HR support is aligned to business objectives.
- Draft, implement and monitoring HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and organisational business needs.
- Review and manage new starter and leaver processes and conducting exit interviews for all staff.
- Plan and deliver on agreed HR projects identified.
- Maintain all employee records in accordance with Data Protection requirements to ensure legal compliance.
- Record relevant data to assist in the production of HR KPIs.
- To deputise for HR colleagues as and when required.
- The full process of recruitment from start to finish including Letters of offer and contracts.
- Oversee reward and recognition such as employee benefit schemes
- Handle all employee relation matters in with policies, procedures and appropriate legislation
- Develop and deliver training and development programmes to suit the needs of the business, in particular on HR topics and policies
- In conjunction with the Group HR Manager, help to develop and implement the Performance Management process throughout the business.
- Any other duties that may arise from time to time as identified by the Group HR Manager.
**Essential requirements**:
- Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) with a grade C in English and Maths.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified (minimum)
- Solid HR generalist experience in the following areas: recruitment and selection, conducting disciplinary meetings and grievance meetings, delivering outcomes of grievances, Analyse and interpret HR data, producing concise reports on a regular basis (HR KPIS)
- Proven track record dealing with employee relations issues
- Knowledge of payroll process
- Good working knowledge of current employment legislation
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Knowledge of North time data time and attendance systems desirable but not essential
