REED Business support are currently recruiting for a Certificate Administrator on behalf of Reading Borough Council
Job Purpose
1. To issue certified copy certificates of birth, death, marriage and civil partnership entries as requested by members of the public,
2. To provide excellent customer service to local residents using Registration services.
Main
**Responsibilities**:
1.Act as a first point of contact for replacement certificate queries, adopting a positive approach to customer care at all times, and ensuring that queries are dealt with accurately and in a timely fashion.
2. Process certificate orders placed online via the RBC website or from internal sources within agreed timescales to ensure delivery to the customer in accordance with published standards
3. Conduct searches of birth, death and marriage indexes, both manual and electronic, to locate requested entries.
4. Reproduce accurate replacement certificates by scanning, type and print or handwritten, which must be legible and without flourishes.
5. Be personally responsible for the security of certificate stock and archived registers and maintain accurate stock control and accounting records on behalf of the Superintendent Registrar.
