**Fleet Manager | Dunstable | Full Time | £40,000+**

Our client is an independent specialist in road haulage services. Their fleet of modern vehicles are equipped with the latest technologies, ULEZ compliant, FORS Gold and comply with DVS standards. **Are you the right person for the job?**
- Certificate of Professional Competence - Road Haulage.
- ALLMI (or equivalent) Appointed Persons qualification
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Significant experience of managing Operator’s Licenses across multiple locations within the UK.
- Understanding of Network Rail regulations and working practices.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, together with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Experience, knowledge and skills to undertake supplier fleet audits investigations.
- Demonstrable ability to work under pressure, take ownership and solve problems promptly.
- Understanding of construction and use regulations
- Experience and knowledge of TFL, Rail and Construction project requirement

**What will your role as a Fleet Manager look like?**
- Responsible person for Operators Licence (DVSA), providing continuous improvement and effective control at all times and demonstrating a consistent approach to Operators
- License management across all geographic locations.
- Comply and meet with the requirements as set out by the Traffic Commissioner with
- Demonstrable expertise, experience, and knowledge of transport regulations.
- Establishing and maintaining arrangements for the delivery of legalities and compliance
- relating to all road vehicle, and driver legislation in terms of legality to drive, driver
- licence validity, hours spent driving, driver training and driver development.
- Overseeing the fleet maintenance programme, ensuring it is compliant with all relevant legislation
- Maintaining FORS compliance at GOLD level, also ensuring CLOCS standards are maintained
- Effective management and control of sentinel sponsor requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining arrangements for the delivery of legalities and compliance relating to lorry loaders and lifting equipment
- Engaging with all relevant road industry bodies. This will include supporting the safe and compliant operation of road vehicles in line with all relevant legal and industry standards.
- Undertaking auditing activities including the auditing and performance of subcontractors, to provide oversight of their responsibilities and guidance where necessary.
- Managing the recruitment process nationally ensuring at all times adequate driver levels are maintained.
- Supporting and undertaking as required investigations into driving and correct vehicle use, this will include using telemetry and tracker system generated data to identify high risk/inefficient drivers and support line managers actions to seek a constructivechange in attitude towards safe, considerate and efficient driving.
- Undertaking as required investigations into near miss, incident (including road traffic incident) occurrences
- Management and reviews of vehicle specification, selection, build, conversion, and use across the business to be compliant with all relevant legislation.
- Compiling lift plans and RAMS documentation, this will include site visits, surveys and specification of correct equipment.
- Management of Risqs online system and management of other client procurement audits
- Effective management and control of HS&E across the business including development, management and review of business policies and procedures.
- Supporting the development of individuals within the team whilst identifying and implementing quality and efficiency improvements across the business.
