Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer ready to take on a new challenge in a dynamic production environment? We are seeking a dedicated professional Maintenance Engineer to join our team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and supported by the Lead Engineer. This is a rotating days/nights role that offers an exciting blend of proactive and reactive maintenance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer role:
* Conduct daily plant inspections and monitor plant performance to ensure optimal operation.
* Facilitate a rapid response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
* Uphold site HSE policies and safe working practices, ensuring a safe and effective working environment.
* Perform fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment and plant, maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety.
* Maintain PPM schedules in accordance with current requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new methods and procedures.
* Accurately record all work carried out, including root causes of failures and usage of spares/consumables.
Skills & Qualifications for the Maintenance Engineer role:
* Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
* Qualifications: HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C&G Level 3 or higher in Engineering.
* Knowledge of PLCs and inverters.
* Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
