Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance services on heavy mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services on heavy mobile plant equipment, including oil sampling and inspections.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance services to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Identify and report any equipment issues or defects, and implement corrective actions to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with the controller to prioritize maintenance tasks and optimize equipment availability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a related engineering function, such as car mechanics, HGV fitting, or military vehicle maintenance.
  • Formal training in health and safety is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics.
