Advanced SEMH Teaching Assistant required

As an ATA, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviours - ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or social development.

This is a full-time role to start in September 2024

Job information

* Full time Monday - Friday

* Paid up to £120 per day

* Supporting SEN Teachers and other professional staff to deliver high quality and creative educational and personal development sessions

* 1-1 small group and individual sessions

* Creating interactive and academically enriched learning experience

* Able to provide academic support to pupils as well as pastoral care

Person Specification

* 1 year experience working to support people with SEMH or other complex SEN difficulties.

* 1 year experience within a classroom based setting (either SEN or mainstream)

* The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient- this role can be extremely challenging but also very rewarding.

* The ability to take note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the well being and safeguarding of children.

* Prescient behaviour management skills.

* Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child's development.

* Willing to undertake training days.
