Nursery Administrator

Brentwood

20-40 hours (hours are flexible for full and part time applicants)

£15ph +

We are currently working with a nursery in Brentwood, Essex, who are looking for a passionate Nursery Administrator to join their wonderful team.

The nursery is proudly rated as "Outstanding” by Ofsted, and offers cheerful and spacious rooms, with excellent resources including a large outdoor area for the children to learn and explore.

Purpose of Role:

To provide efficient administrative support to the nursery and Nursery Manager. Ensuring a high level of customer service both internally and externally, by completing day-to-day administrative tasks.

Responsible for:

Supporting the manager when offering new nursery places, selling extra sessions, and managing changes in booking patterns

Supporting parents with queries or concerns, offering solutions where possible

Leading and managing care bookings and enquiries

Following the nursery's organisational policies and procedures

Ensuring files are up to date

Checking parent invoices are charged correctly, including discounts, and corresponding with parents regarding payments

Making useful and efficient use of systems

Contributing suggestions and ideas on how to improve nursery performance

Collecting monthly invoices

Controlling tasks relating to funding and headcount

Supporting the Nursery Manager with any additional administrative tasks, including writing reports

Experience:

Previous experience working in a nursery environment would be beneficial

Experience in a customer service setting would be beneficial

Providing outstanding customer service, both internally and externally, in person and over the phone

Demonstrable track record of resolving issues for customers

Ability to make decisions based on information and data

Ability to prioritise workload and work in a fast-paced environment

Possess exceptional organisational skills

Strong computer skills to manage daily responsibilities - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Data Entry

Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR

Previous experience of working in an Early Years administrative role would be desirable but not essential

Desirable but non-essential qualities:

A qualification in Childcare would be beneficial

Enhanced DBS certificate (must be willing to undergo a DBS check if you don't have one on the update service)
