About the role: We seek a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant ( Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist) to join our dynamic team. This SEN Teaching Assistant position is full-time, offering a daily rate of £85-£100. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with non-verbal students, utilising your experience with visual and gesture-based communication to make a significant impact.

Application Requirements:

• Teaching Assistant experience, supporting students on the autism spectrum.
• Strong knowledge of visual and gesture communication techniques.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs are desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to non-verbal students, helping them to engage and succeed in their learning.
• Develop and implement individualised learning strategies in collaboration with the classroom teacher and SENCO.
• Use visual and gesture-based communication methods effectively.
• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting approaches as necessary.
