Sen Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Stafford. This full-time role is set to start in September 2024 and will continue until July 2025, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
* Work closely with classroom teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual student needs.
* Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student confidence and independence.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
* Support students with personal care, where necessary, in a respectful and dignified manner.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
* A caring and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be advantageous.
Requirements
* Experience working with primary age children
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Have a DBS Certificate on the Update Service / Willing to obtain one
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a primary school setting
