My client is a well-established medium-sized Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractor based in Wolverhampton. With a strong focus on commercial, industrial, local authority, and government projects with values up to £10 million, we have built a reputation for delivering exceptional quality and innovation. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Position Overview: As an Experienced Electrical Estimator at [Company Name], you will play a pivotal role in our bidding and estimation process. You will work closely with our estimating team to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical components of M&E projects across various sectors. We are looking for an individual with significant experience in electrical estimating who can lead our efforts in securing and executing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to develop comprehensive electrical estimates.

* Collaborate with the estimating team to analyze project requirements, identify potential risks, and propose value engineering solutions.

* Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

* Prepare and present detailed electrical cost estimates, including materials, labor, and associated costs, to senior management and clients.

* Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as necessary.

* Maintain an up-to-date database of historical project cost data.

* Lead efforts in cost analysis and optimization while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

* Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and advancements in electrical systems and technology.

Qualifications:

* Substantial experience in electrical estimating within the M&E contracting industry.

* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components.

* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

* Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

* Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
