Electrical Estimator

Responsibilities:nMaintain consistent communication with all internal and external stakeholders involved in the estimating process to maximize the company’s commercial advantage.nEnsure a consistent workflow to keep operations running smoothly in both Ireland and the UK.nComplete each tender in line with company procedures, ensuring consistency.nReview actual installation times post-project to assess deviations from budgeted times.nCollaborate with the estimating team to meet the business unit’s revenue goals by producing accurate and timely estimates.nWork with other employees to identify, share, and implement best practices.nPrepare each tender in a structured and accurate format, adhering to company policies, standards, and processes, while considering all foreseeable construction, technical, and commercial risks.nProduce accurate take-offs and measures of tenders, inputting data into estimating software to fully understand the project’s prime cost.nEvaluate enquiries to ensure the preparation and dispatch of accurate supplier and subcontractor enquiries within the required timescales.nCollaborate with specialist subcontractors, assess quotations, validate received information, and ensure compliance with specifications.nPrepare product substitution and value engineering options.nStay updated on market conditions, including pricing levels, competition, and workload volume, to prepare relevant and competitive estimates consistently.
Qualifications:nPrevious experience as an Electrical Estimator or in preparing electrical estimates.nKnowledge of electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.nExperience in projects with a value of £7,000,000 upwardsnUnderstanding of health and safety requirements.nExceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
