Graduate Test Technician

Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE

Location: Derbyshire

Overview:

Our Client Based in Derbyshire are looking for a Graduate Test Technician. As a Graduate Test Technician you'll be responsible for assisting the Test Engineer in the routine in-house testing of medium voltage distribution transformers and switchgear to ensure that all products leaving their facility are evidenced as being compliant to the necessary design and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

· Assisting in the preparation for and completion of routine testing of distribution transformers and 11kV electrical switchgear.

· Producing traceable and accurate test records.

· Conducting electrical testing of oil samples.

· Ensuring test equipment is suitably calibrated and maintained in a suitable condition.

· Co-ordinating the movement of product throughout the production facility.

· Undertaking routine inspection of incoming equipment and final inspection of outgoing assembled product.

About you:

· Recognised Electrical/Electronic qualification.

· I.T. literacy and a recognition of the importance of diligence in the completion of testing processes and the accurate recording of test results.

· A mature approach to health and safety and the need to adopt strict working practices in respect of the hazards of high-voltage testing.

· A technical grounding in the design, manufacture and operation of distribution transformers and High Voltage switchgear.

· Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.

· Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
