Civil Project Manager-Nationwide

Carrowhugh recruitment is currently recruiting for Civils Project Managers for a Data and Distribution Centre main contractor that delivers turnkey projects for customers in the fields of logistics, food industry, pharmaceuticals, high-tech production and data centres.

The general contractor, working nationwide, specialising in the implementation of complex construction projects on a national and international level for bluechip clients, and implement the projects through our offices in England, Ireland, the USA.

Due to recent Project wins they are looking to expand their team, The Company are looking to hire Civils Project Managers. As the Civil Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the build of all Civil elements on data and distribution centre projects valued at 150 Million.

You will oversee the associated sub-contractors and work closely with the end client to ensure a successful delivery. You will have strong commercial acumen and experience delivering fast paced projects.

The ideal candidate will currently be working a similar TurnKey Contractor or have a strong background in working on civil elements of similar industrial type projects.

What is required of the Civils Project Manager

• Project planning, budgeting, procurement and optimal use of required resources such as manpower, materials and equipment.

• You select the project participants such as architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and workers and coordinate the parties involved.

• You lead your team and assign individual responsibilities.

• You clearly present the project goals and plans and define the performance requirements.

• You draw up schedules and are responsible for adhering to them. For this you communicate effectively with the contractors who are responsible for the execution of different phases of the project.

• You will be responsible for the construction progress of the project on site and hold regular status meetings with all subcontractors. They are also responsible for compliance with quality and safety standards on the construction site.

• Cost controlling and claim management are also part of your area of ??responsibility.

• As an important link to the customer, you are responsible for direct communication with the customer.

Background of the Civils Project Manager Data and Distribution Centre

• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of engineering/construction/architecture/structural engineering

• At least 3-5 years of experience in construction projects

• In-depth knowledge of legal and safety standards

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to plan and organize a team

• Effective time management and logical decision-making skills

• Effective work even under time pressure

• Strong focus on quality

What's on Offer for the Civils Project Manager Data and Distribution Centre

As well as a salary of £100,000 ( Negotiable DOE), the Company will also offer a Accommodation, Travel + Living Away allowance. The company are also open to negotiation on shift/working hours.
