Shift: 4 on / 4 off

Hours: 6am -6pm

Location: Geary’s Bakeries Ltd | Unit D | Optimus Way | Glenfield | Leicester | LE3 8JR

The Role

Our Engineering Supervisors at Geary’s are the best thing since sliced bread – quite literally You’re responsible for managing and developing your team of Shift Engineers, whilst being a main focul point for all strategic engineering initiatives, PPM and real time reactive maintenance engineering. Your main responsibilities include:

Co-ordination of all Engineering activity, including external contractors

* Maintaining effective Engineering systems (including CMMS, PMs, handovers etc)

* Project management of Engineering-led Capex improvements

* Effective documentation and record keeping, including inductions, Return to Work interviews, work permits etc

* Ordering required parts, tools etc in adherence with Engineering budget

* Ownership of Engineering training and development, including 121s and performance appraisals

* Effectively communicating with departments in wider business

* Taking an active role in audits and high-profile visits

Champion of Health and Safety, with experience in managing this

* Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles

* Great communication skills, ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders
