About the role:
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating customs clearance processes for international shipments within the European Union. You will ensure the legal and efficient import / export licences, and all other required paperwork.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit customs documentations and maintain detailed records of customs transactions
* Ensure compliance with relevant customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements
* Liaise with stakeholders and customs authorities to resolve customs-related issues
* Classify goods according to relevant system codes
* Use customs software to process declarations
* Assess potential risks and stay informed about changing customs regulations
About you:
You will have relevant experience in customs clearance and in-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs and trade compliance. You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills. You will be proficient in customs clearance software and tools, as well as maintain accuracy in paperwork and documentation. Ideally, you will have great time-management and organisational skills and can thrive independently as well as in a team environment. 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English grade 4 (or equivalent) is desired, along with relevant certifications in customs clearance or international trade.
