Our client, a large manufacturing company in the Cleckheaton area, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Warehouse Operator to join their team.

Purpose

This position is based in the Despatch department; operatives assemble orders ready to be shipped out to customers. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, as it may be necessary to assist, or cover for, other staff from time to time.

Key Tasks

* Wrap and pack individual products

* Pack boxes to quantities specified on sales orders

* Weigh boxes and note details for shipping etc.

* Assist others with handling goods

* Adhere to all works procedures and quality controls including Known Consignor status

* Complete appropriate paperwork as required

* Complete other administrative and production duties as appropriate

* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and customers

Experience / Skills Required

* Must be literate and numerate (reading sales orders, calculating measurements / weights etc.)

* FLT Licence ( Counterbalance and / or Reach )

* Good communication skills: particularly verbal

* Has experience of lifting and carrying safely

* Has suitable dexterity

* Is able to work efficiently whilst maintaining quality standards

* Is able to learn new tasks quickly

* Is able to move from one task to another

* Previous experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous

You will be expected to work a regular day shift 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 - 15:00 on a Friday. In return you can expect an hourly rate of £11.66 per hour plus opportunities to work overtime as and when required.
