Area Manager

the leading service provider in the Water and Waste Water Infrastructure sectors in the UK are looking to recruit an Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading and driving the Repair & Maintenance team. You would thrive on taking charge of all activities related to the planned and reactive work program. The purpose of this role is to ensure the successful delivery of projects to cost, time, quality, and safety targets. The crux of this role lies in your ability to oversee P&L and manage productivity and utilization of labour and subcontractors.

Your day-to-day activities will include managing construction teams, liaising with clients and authorities, and ensuring safety compliance.
Joining us gives you the opportunity to work for a market leader in the field, with a strong order book and turnover. As our next Area Manager, you'll be driving the success of the Repair & Maintenance team and playing a key role in delivering projects to high standards. Your duties and responsibilities will include overseeing all activities to ensure cost, time, quality, and safety targets are met, managing P&L, and liaising with various stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective staff briefings, ensuring safety compliance, and liaising with contractors on construction methods.
The Key Requirements
IOSH safety certificate
A current valid driving licence
Supervisors street work card
A working knowledge of disciplinary and capability procedures
A working knowledge of accident investigation procedure
Financial awareness and ability to work to budgets
Good understanding, supported by experience, of how a water network operates
Proven ability to deliver improvements to productivity, safety and customer focus in a utility environment
Experience in supporting the delivery of change initiatives, ideally in a unionised workforcesWhat's in it for you?
