They are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team in Cannock.

Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, including Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) systems, VAT returns, and proficiency in SAGE accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

* Financial Reporting and Analysis:

* Prepare and present accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.

* Monitor financial performance against budget and report on variances.

* Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

* Accounting and Compliance:

* Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.

* Ensure compliance with CIS regulations and manage CIS returns.

* Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.

* SAGE System Management:

* Maintain and manage the SAGE accounting system, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

* Provide training and support to staff on SAGE system usage.

* Budgeting and Forecasting:

* Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.

* Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to improve company performance.

* Financial Controls and Processes:

* Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.

* Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

* Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.

* Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance role within the construction industry.

* Proven experience with CIS systems and VAT returns.

* Proficient in using SAGE accounting software.

* Skills and Competencies:

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
