Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineering Manager with a background in nuclear on a staff basis to be working on a hybrid arrangement between home and visits to the site in Barrow.

What you'll be doing:

Facilitating the Reactor Plant build and commissioning delivery programme through innovative engineering solutions and problem solving
Ensuring the maintenance of Reactor Plant design intent during the build and commissioning phases.
Supporting assessment of plant design changes
Assessing plant build maturity for entry into subsequent build phases
Providing technically sound challenges to existing requirements
Writing and presenting reports to communicate nuclear issues to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Liaison with authorities
Lead the assessment and management of complex inter-domain or inter-function issues identified during the close out of the final design, through change or through build/commissioning
Technical approval of team outputsYour skills and experiences:
Essential:

Degree Qualified Engineering/Physical Science discipline; Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, Physics
Knowledge of the nuclear industry and Nuclear Regulations
Previous exposure to Engineering Lifecycle
Previous Nuclear plant experienceDesirable:

Proven technical report writing skills
