The opportunity
Due to projects ramping up, our leading engineering and maintenance provider is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join an ambiitous team of nuclear specialists with an excellent safety first approach.
The Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, the purpose of your role is to ensure project requirements or aspects of project requirements are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standard, whilst building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
You will be responsible for coordinating activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
You will ensure design compliance with engineering principles, company standards and related specifications and legislation.
You will control expenditures within limitations of project budget and approve supplier/subcontractor documentation on behalf of the Project Engineering Manager.
You will work in conjunction with the Project Engineering Manager and Construction Manager to ensure that all engineering works meet the quality and HSE requirements of the contract, and that design and construction reviews are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
You will also ensure that the technical team and any 3rd party technical contractors adhere to the overall project quality plan provided by the project manager throughout the project lifecycle.You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience working across full design project lifecycle experience, Mechanical discipline is preferred.
Minimum 5 years Project Engineer experience.
Minimum 3 years working within of multi-cultural teams.
Demonstrable success in Project Engineer experience.
Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision in highly regulated environments (Nuclear industry experience desirable).
Educated to Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
Professional qualification e.g. (Professional Engineer PE), (CEng) (EUR ING) (where applicable).
Project Management Qualification / Accreditation such as APM, PMI would be beneficial.Get in touch now
