The Product Manager is responsible for the development, management, and optimization of the product portfolio to meet market demands, drive business growth, and ensure competitive advantage. This role involves a strategic and tactical approach to product lifecycle management, from conception through to discontinuation, aligning products with customer needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities of the Product Manager:

Market and Customer Insights:

* Make use of market research to understand industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape.

* Gather and analyse customer feedback to inform product improvements, new product development and proposition development.

* Use of customer frameworks to identify job outcomes, unmet needs and opportunities, compared with Knauf’s ability to deliver with its product offering.

Product Development and Innovation:

* Development of new products and propositions, that meet and exceed the demands of our customers and market

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, specification, sales, planning) to bring products from concept to market.

Product Lifecycle Management:

* Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to end-of-life, ensuring products remain competitive and profitable (NPD, repositioning, extensions, go or grow)

* Make decisions on product updates, enhancements, or discontinuations based on performance data and market feedback.

* Deliver the annual range review for your product categories, that includes recommendations for subsequent action plans to support the company strategy

* Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, including sales, revenue, profitability, and market share.

Sales and Marketing Support:

* Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates products in the market.

* Provide training and support to the sales team, including product information, competitive analysis, and sales assignments.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

* Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related activities for your category, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across departments.

* Engage with key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:

* Ensure that products comply with industry standards, regulations, and certifications.

* Stay informed about regulatory changes
