This is a fantastic opportunity for a design engineer to gain a lead and specialised role within a well established and successful manufacturer who work with global leaders in their field.

The role would suit design engineers with a strong plastics manufacturing background. Applicants who have exposure within a vacuum forming environment will have a considerable advantage. Designers will ideally have experience of SolidEdge design package or similar. Applicants must be comfortable and confident in a customer interface role.

This is a role with a high level of responsibility. You will ultimately take a lead on design from initial conception right through to delivery to the customer. You will work closely with customers to develop, design and present bespoke and niche industry solutions. Every project you work on will be on a design from scratch basis and have different issues that you will have to troubleshoot. You will work closely with production teams on site to support the manufacture of specialist products. You will be responsible for BOM creation and supporting the sales teams with quotes. As part of your role you will mentor a junior member of staff and support their development through the business.

This is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders within the automotive industry. You will join a growing manufacturing organisation who are investing considerably on site. You will contribute to shaping the success of the business moving forward.

DESIGN ENGINEER

*Must have a strong design background with experience of the full design lifecycle
