Account Manager, Materials (French Speaker)

Location: Cambridge based with occasional travel to France

What a fantastic time to be joining a world leading materials organisation as their Account Manager for France. Our clients is a leader in their field and arguable the go-to name in materials and they have an exciting opportunity for a fluent French speaker to join their team as an Account Manager. The role as an Account Manager, Materials will be hybrid, with time if their Cambridgeshire office when not travelling and occasional visits to customers in France.

The successful candidate will be working with existing customers and prospecting for new clients across the Research, Development and precision manufacturing within Science and Technology businesses and academia. Their metal, ceramic, glass, polymer and bespoke materials go into a very broad range of product/applications from the medical device, pharma, instrumentation, optics and electronics to name but a few.

They are seeking a STEM graduate (or equivalent industry experience) with a proven background in sales. You’ll be taking on a mature territory with established customers so applicants must have excellent customer relationship management skills. You will also be required to grow the customer base so applicants must be pro-active business developers and able to utilise a range of sales and marketing tools and opportunities to identify, develop and close sales prospects. This will include telephone/video calls as well as face to face customer visits and attending key exhibitions, events and symposiums.

Requirements:

* Native level French language and also fluent in English (written & spoken)

* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline

* Developing, influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills both with internal and external partners.

* Sales skills (face to face, telephone and video)

* Happy to travel to France to meet customers

* Good sales leadership skills, able to control and drive meeting to close

* Creative and results driven.
