Job Overview:
As an Assistant Design Coordinator for a new build commercial project valued at £10 million, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Design Coordinator. You will manage design processes from concept through to completion, ensuring smooth coordination among architects, engineers, and contractors. Your responsibilities will include maintaining design documentation, facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders, assisting in quality control, conducting site visits, and providing technical support using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Design Coordination: Assist the Design Coordinator in managing the design process from the initial concept to project completion.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet specifications and standards.
* Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, plans, and reports.
* Communication Facilitation: Ensure effective communication among all project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
* Quality Control: Assist in quality control activities to ensure that the design outputs meet the required standards and specifications.
* Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, verify design compliance, and address any onsite design-related issues.
* Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit to create and modify design plans.
