Temporary role in Wrexham working Monday to Friday 8am 4pm

The Role
Our client is a global food manufacturer who provide a positive and supportive working environment for its employees. We are supporting them with the recruitment of an Environmental Health and Safety Assistant on a temporary basis, which could lead to a permanent opportunity for the right person.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Health and Safety Assistant:

Completion of site wide risk assessments.
Provide resolutions of EHS challenges.
Take ownership of regulatory compliance databases and ensure they are up to date.
Review chemical assessments (COSH) to ensure control measures are in place and adhered to.
Promote safe behaviours and influence a positive safety culture.
The Candidate
The successfully appointed Environmental Health and Safety Assistant will have the following skills and abilities:

NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
Experience with document control and management systems
Strong communication skills.
Excellent IT skills for all Microsoft office packages.
Experience and knowledge of EHS legislative requirements
Previous experience with manufacturing plants
Strong team player and confident problem-solving skills.
