Job description

Role Summary:

As a Site Operative at our Edinburgh location, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of all production, packing, and warehousing processes. You will also support other site functions such as weighbridge operations, laboratory testing, and hygiene maintenance. This is a multi-functional role that requires a proactive and versatile approach to support our site’s overall efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Adhere to company Health and Safety guidelines at all times.

* Maintain accurate records for performance and hygiene purposes.

* Undertake necessary training to fulfil job requirements.

* Ensure absolute product safety through careful management of all process lines and product handling.

* Support the site’s policies and procedures.

* Operate weighbridge equipment.

* Perform laboratory testing of flour and wheat samples.

* Meet cleaning and hygiene requirements.

* Support other operational areas as needed.

* Employ a clean-as-you-go policy, including waste removal to designated areas.

* Work independently when required (lone working).

Qualifications and Skills:

* Effective team member with strong collaboration skills.

* Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

* Strong problem-solving skills to analyse situations objectively and develop logical solutions.

* Experience in food processing, packing, and warehouse operations.

* Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.

* Current FLT training certificate preferred.
