Empowering Learning are working with a brilliant provision in the DE15 area who are looking to add to their staffing team from September 2024. The school houses children who present with SEMH & an array of other SEN.
This will be a full time and permanent role beginning 2nd September 2024. Hours of work will be 8:30-16:00
The main duties within this role will be:
Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils within the classroom and using the outdoor space
Leading small group interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour had arisen
Liaising with senior members of staff in school around progress of the pupils
Contributing towards the wider goals of the school The school are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience of working with special educational needs
Can be resillient in the face of a challenge
Can build relationships with children who struggle to engage within lessons
