Fundraising Manager

Rise Recruitment Solutions is looking for a highly motivated and driven Fundraising Manager to join a prestigious charity working across Bedfordshire offering hope and support to people struggling against homelessness and exclusion. We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have a passion for working within the local community and building relationships with external stakeholders and nurture them into regular donors.

Responsibilities:
* Generate a minimum annual income of £100k+ by fostering and maximising opportunities to build relationships within the local communities of Luton and Bedfordshire, with plans to expand into Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire as services grow.
* Create and develop voluntary income events and activities to boost fundraising efforts.
* Collaborate with third-party supporters to sustain a variety of externally organised events and fundraising initiatives.
* Initiate and cultivate relationships with individuals, schools, colleges, universities, religious groups, clubs, businesses, and social clubs within Luton, Bedfordshire, and surrounding counties.
* Encourage and engage these groups in participating in fundraising initiatives.
* Develop, support, and retain third-party fundraising groups to organise community fundraising activities on a sustainable and regular basis.
* Set and achieve community voluntary income fundraising targets and monitor budgets to ensure goals are met.
* Deliver talks and presentations about the charity’s work and its fundraising activities.
* Additionally, manage and support Ambassadors, fundraising groups, and volunteers in delivering similar presentations.
* Represent the charity at cheque presentations when required.
* Enhance presence at local events and stalls, ensuring proactive participation.
* Stay updated on sector fundraising knowledge to ensure best practices are followed.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all community fundraising activities, including correspondence with donors and supporters.
* Foster effective, open communication with all members of the Fundraising and team to identify and maximise fundraising opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with appropriate fundraising legislation, GDPR, and policies for yourself and all third-party supporters at all times.
Person Specification:
* High standards of literacy
* Full UK driving licence and access to transport
* Experience of working within a charity environment preferable
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
* Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
