Our client is a UK leading specialty construction business. They are looking for a strong buyer to join and progress the current team.

Description

Lead and manage the procurement process within the mechanical field.
Develop and implement mechanical purchasing strategies.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for mechanical services and products.
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking for mechanical components.
Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers within the mechanical industry.
Negotiate contracts and improved prices and terms of business with suppliers.
Work collaboratively with other departments within the company.
Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.Profile

A successful Buyer (Mechanical Focus) should have:

Excellent understanding of mechanical components and their market conditions.
Educated to a Degree level
Strong negotiation and networking skills.
Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent decision-making and analytical skills.Job Offer
