Purpose of the Role

In line with Procurement's purpose & strategy, the Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring the best goods and services across a range of different categories, in a timely manner, to support the needs of the business. They will build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across the firm, negotiate contracts, and ensure the firm is getting value for money, whilst managing risk, on all procurements. They will also handle some administrative duties such as managing the central inbox, contract administration and coordinating the approval of purchase orders.

The Team
Addleshaw Goddard's (AG) Procurement team is a highly skilled and dedicated group of professionals who are responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for the firm.
The team is located across Manchester & Leeds, with our headquarters based in London, and is structured into a Commercial and Legal team. The Buyer would be part of the Commercial team which is led by the Senior Procurement Manager. AG have a number of Procurement Managers who are responsible for managing specific categories of goods and services.

We focus on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, as we believe in building long-term partnerships with our suppliers and fostering collaborative relationships. We strive to continuously improve our processes to ensure we deliver added value to the firm.

What to Expect in this Role
Sourcing and procurement of tactical goods and services across a range of different categories.
Work closely with key internal stakeholders to proactively understand business requirements.
Manage tender processes and quotation requests to identify suitable suppliers.
Building, maintaining and managing supplier relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
Maintain procurement systems and records, ensuring compliant processes and that information is up-to-date and accurate.
