Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in building projects and a proven track record in local authority or public sector environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Planning and Management:

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Coordinate and oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.

Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.

* Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, public sector clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

Facilitate regular project meetings and communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, standards, and procedures.

* Resource Management:

Manage project teams, including assigning tasks, setting objectives, and providing guidance and support.

Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure project requirements are met.

Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

* Financial Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are achieved.

Track project expenditures and prepare regular financial reports.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project financial performance.

* Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.

Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

Risk Management:

* Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

* Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

* Ensure all health and safety regulations and best practices are adhered to.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.

* Experience:

Minimum of [X] years of project management experience in the building and construction industry.

Proven experience working with local authorities or within the public sector.

Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale construction projects successfully.
