The successful applicant will be an experienced, compassionate individual who will be able to offer service users first-class support in an industry leading working environment. This role is working full time 37.5 hours per week with hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
We are looking for a Senior Resource Centre Worker who can support disabled children with the most complex needs in a variety of different settings. This involves working with children and young people with a wide range of disabilities as part of a team responsible for direct care in residential settings, in children’s own homes and in other settings. Contributing to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the children and young people so as to promote their welfare whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals.
Main Responsibilities:
* Taking responsibility for the day to day leadership and support of care staff whilst on the shift.
* Assist the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all designated areas of the children’s care plan in accordance with LAC or other reviews.
* Contribute towards the maintenance of the fabric of the home and ensure that its grounds and equipment are in a safe and a satisfactory condition.
* Contribute to care planning, participating in reviews and other meetings as required, and to assist in the formation and implementation of care plans.
* Take responsibility as a senior member of the staff team for demonstrating a high level of primary, social and emotional care to children and young people accessing the service.
About You
• Office Skills: Knowledge of general office procedures and minute-taking experience.
• IT Proficiency: Skilled in word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and data entry.
• Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team.
• Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to requests for assistance.
• Communication: Confident and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional Attitude: Empathetic and non-judgmental attitude toward those accessing our service.
• QCF 3 Residential Childcare or enrol upon employment and complete within specified timescales.
In return for your commitment, we are able to offer a very competitive rate of pay of between £14.25 – £17.75 per hour dependent on experience, however it may be possible to negotiate above this for candidates with exceptional experience.
