the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a state-of-the-art business function as their Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager. This is a newly created role within the business and you will be the expert on all things Health Safety.

You will have overall management responsibilities for Health, Safety Environmental matters to ensure the company meets all legal requirements, as well as of course providinbg a safe environment for everyone to be in, customers, staff, and visitors. You will be working within a purpose-built, fully automated warehouse environment with adjoining offices. This is a clean environment with huge distribution capabilities. You will be looking after the 100 or so staff on site, but you will also be a key partner to the two major transporters that work for the business.

Day to day you will ensure compliance with all Health, Safety Environmental legislation and provide guidance to managers and staff where required. You will maintain and improve current safety management systems and develop, introduce, and maintain site policies and procedures to comply with governing bodies. You will audit H S performance and report through the business, and identify improvement opportunities.

We need a NEBOSH Qualified professional here. Ideally, someone who has experience working within a warehouse, distribution, logistics or automation-based industry, will have the ability to communicate clearly across the business and logistics partners and form relationships to ensure effective adherence to H S.
