Senior Mechanical Project Manager – Bermuda – Up to $140,000 DOE (Income tax free)

First Task Professional are very excited to be working on a unique opportunity to earn an excellent take home salary in a beautiful sub-tropical country situated in the Atlantic Ocean.

An established MEP Contractor are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to step into the role after the retirement of one of their longest serving members of staff. They have an excellent reputation and strong relationships with the General Contractors on the island so are extremely busy.

The right candidate will come from a background of Plumbing / Heating / HVAC and ideally have experience in working on projects £10m+ total value. Experience in refurb / retrofit projects would be advantageous due to limited new build projects on the island.

What’s in it for you?

* Up to $140,000 DOE

* No income tax (9.5% payroll tax ONLY)

Spec:

* 10 years’ extensive experience/knowledge of construction, design and cost management as a Mechanical Project Manager or similar position in Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial environment.

* Experience managing large commercial, institutional and Industrial Projects 10 million and above preferred.

* Estimating experience and knowledge of site surveying, project sequencing, methods and materials practices and electrical systems.

* Can be a combination of training, education and relevant work experience that is equivalent.

Key Roles / Responsibilities

* Produce, review, and implement project documentation (e.g., pre-construction info, schedules, specs, drawings).

* Manage mechanical contracts throughout project lifecycle.

* Handle project cost analysis, budgeting, and procurement.

* Ensure agreed programs and key deadlines are met between clients and contractors.

* Oversee correct installation of mechanical services.

* Monitor work practices, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety codes and company policies.

* Understand scope of work, contract terms, change order processes, and closeout requirements.

* Support commissioning, validation, and final project acceptance.

* Supervise overall project activities, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.

* Maintain logs for change orders, submittals, and drawings.

* Prepare accurate and timely contract submittals and subcontractor contracts.

* Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.

* Ensure project quality control plans are followed.

* Monitor subcontractors' documentation for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.

* Represent the company in meetings with clients and subcontractors.

* Collaborate with engineers and assist field personnel.

* Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
