Reporting to: Head of Technical

Company: Our client is one of the leading fresh fruit & vegetable suppliers to the food service industry in the UK.

Role Overview: The Quality Auditor will assess food products against internal specifications, monitor and audit the QMS system, and support the team in finding solutions.

Accountabilities:

* Assess the quality, safety, and legality of products against specifications.

* Report and classify assessments using handheld devices.

* Communicate efficiently with team members.

* Audit QMS records and Goods-In records in manufacturing units.

* Maintain traceability of fish and sausage products.

* Assist in preparations for BRC and 2nd party audits.

* Conduct histamine testing.

* Support other technical/quality departmental functions as needed.

Skills & Experience:

* Exposure to fresh produce quality assessment.

* BRC and internal auditing experience.

* Knowledge of food quality attributes and control procedures.

* Awareness of food legislation, HACCP, and food labeling.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

* Flexible and professional under pressure.
