About the role:

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for a part-time Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant with intervention background (boosters for low achieving students) at our esteemed Collindale-based school. Beginning immediately, this role offers a chance to immerse yourself fully in our dynamic educational environment. You’ll work closely with our primary team, implementing targeted interventions to bolster academic achievement for low-achieving students. Your responsibilities will also include cultivating strong partnerships with parents, ensuring a collaborative approach to student support and progress. Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in Key Stage 1 or with interventions.
• Strong understanding of intervention strategies and experience implementing targeted support for low-achieving students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs (SEN) would be advantageous.
• Ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement tailored intervention programs for Key Stage 1 students identified as low achievers, focusing on boosting their academic performance in core subjects like English and Mathematics.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, delivering targeted assistance and monitoring progress closely to ensure measurable improvement.
• Collaborate closely with teachers to identify areas for intervention, adapt strategies to individual student needs, and maintain accurate records of student progress and outcomes.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation, and contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where necessary.
