About the role:
We’re seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Barnet, London. This part-time role, starting ASAP, aims to support low-achieving students with boosters in English and Maths. The position is vacant due to an additional need in our team to provide targeted interventions. You’ll play a crucial role in assisting the class teacher, supporting SEN children, and fostering positive relationships with parents. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils and contribute to our inclusive school community.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 students, particularly those with special educational needs.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to meet with members of the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in delivering tailored interventions to Key Stage 2 students who require additional support.
• Work closely with the class teacher to identify areas of improvement for low achieving students.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support during booster sessions.
• Create engaging learning activities and resources to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents/carers.
