Location: Farnham Area

Contract Type: Long-term

Salary: £75 – £85 per day (depending on experience)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Supply Desk are seeking SEND teaching assistants for a Special Needs School

Supply Desk are proud to represent a Special Education School that works with children in the Basingstoke area. This school is looking for several SEN teaching assistants to support either 1:1 or in a small group.

About the role:

Part time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
Location: Farnham area
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Length: Long Term – Potential to become permanent
Hours: 8:30 -15:30
About the school:

SEND school working with children from the ages of 7-16 with various additional needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and more
Warm and welcoming staff
Hold values of independence, inclusion and respect
Job Description:

Some experience with children with additional needs preferred (SEMH, ASC, ADHD etc)
Desire to work throughout Key stage 2, 3 and 4 (7-16-year olds)
Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths and Literacy

To gain an understanding of the unique needs of students.
To consider students' special needs and ensure their access to lessons and content through appropriate clarifications, explanations, equipment, and materials.
To help students develop study and organisational skills.
To assist students in staying on task and increasing their motivation.
To support students' behavioural and emotional needs in accordance with classroom and school policies.
To support and implement individualised programs for students.
Requirements:

A nurturing and caring nature
GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
Experience of working with children/young people
Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
