Gap Personnel is working with are client in Norwich, Norfolk, a leading company in their field who are recruiting for Mechanical Installation Engineer on a permanent full-time basis.  

This is due to recent expansion within the company they require experienced Engineers to join the great family run business.

Main Responsibilities

The role is for a Pump engineer to include knowledge of the installation of Mechanical services. The role will include technical and mechanical support and hands on fault finding for installation projects primarily for Pump Installations. On site organising and support with projects with the Manager from quotation to completion

Standard 39hr week Monday to Friday

Pay: From £32,448.00 per year + Overtime

Skills needed.

-          Mechanical support of installations in a Commercial and Domestic environment.

-          Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance and responding to breakdowns with clean and dirty water systems.

-          TIG and MMA Pipe welding to a good standard on SS and CS pipelines. (Desirable)

-          Ability to read Layout and P&ID drawings and understand control equipment. (Desirable)

-          Provide support on technical issues for customers and staff.

-          Work always to recognised industry standards.

-          To assist other trades as/when required.

-          Sites manage and support projects from start to finish.

-          Ensure all paperwork for project is kept up to date.

-          Support the Manager with any duties required.

-          Responsible for weekend/evening emergency callouts on rota with other engineers.

-          Good working Knowledge of Lifting operations. (Desirable)

-          Working Knowledge of pipework installations and pumps (Desirable)

Training/Qualifications needed to undertake role.

-          Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Inst. Plant & Systems Pipework or minimum 2 years’ experience.

-          CSCS (desirable)
