Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Social Worker to take on the role of Adults Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) in Stockton-on-Tees. The IRO plays a crucial role in safeguarding the rights and promoting the well-being of adults receiving social care services.

Key Responsibilities:

Chairing reviews of care and support plans for adults receiving social care services, ensuring that their views, wishes, and preferences are central to the decision-making process.
Conducting independent reviews of cases where there are concerns about the quality or effectiveness of care provision, including safeguarding concerns and complaints.
Monitoring the implementation of care and support plans, ensuring that they are reviewed and updated regularly in response to changing needs and circumstances.
Providing support and guidance to social work teams and other professionals involved in the care of adults, promoting best practice and adherence to relevant legislation and policies.
Advocating for the rights of adults receiving social care services, including their right to be involved in decisions about their care and support.
Maintaining accurate records of reviews and decisions, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience working within adult social care, including experience in a safeguarding or review role.
Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to adult social care, safeguarding, and review processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to upholding the principles of independence, empowerment, and dignity in social care practice.Benefits:
