Independent Reviewing Officer at Southend City Council

Southend City Council is seeking a full-time, permanent Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Safeguarding and Reviews Service. As the newly appointed IRO, you will play a crucial role in chairing and recording outcomes of reviews for children who are looked after, ensuring their care plans are in line with legislation and SCC policies.

  • Monitor progress of plans for children to ensure their needs are met
  • Engage restoratively with parents, carers, and children
  • Share expertise in child protection with colleagues and partner agencies

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in the UK
  • Hold a recognized Social Work qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
