About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a primary school in London. This role is crucial in supporting children with behavioural challenges, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Starting in September 2024, this full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive and dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Behavioural Support: Work closely with children displaying challenging behaviours, providing one-on-one and small group support to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Intervention Planning: Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies and intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track and record students' progress, maintaining detailed records and regularly reporting to teachers, parents, and the senior leadership team.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other school staff to create a cohesive support plan for each student, ensuring a consistent approach to behaviour management.
Parental Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and carers, offering guidance and support to help reinforce positive behaviours at home.
Crisis Management: Assist in de-escalating situations where students exhibit extreme behaviours, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and supported.Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly those with behavioural difficulties, is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Knowledge: A good understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
Patience and Empathy: The ability to remain patient and empathetic, even in challenging situations.
Flexibility: Adaptability and the ability to respond to changing circumstances and needs within the school.
Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education, psychology, counselling, or a related field is preferred, but not essential.What We Offer:
