In this role, you will be responsible for leading the smooth introduction of new products into the operations environment. You will provide technical support to the Engineering and Operations departments, improve existing processes, and resolve technical issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in reducing costs, enhancing reliability, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. 📐

🔧 Responsibilities:

Generate CAD drawings, SOPs, and written specifications for new product launches.
Support operations in resolving technical issues and documenting investigation work.
Design and develop required tooling and test jigs, guaranteeing product quality and operational productivity.
Review product and process documentation and propose improvements.
Conduct detailed analysis using statistical methods and implement corrective actions.
Provide feedback to the design department, ensuring manufacturability and efficiency are maximised.
Research and develop new technologies to improve assembly and test processes.
Train operations teams on new assembly methods and technologies during NPI.🔧 Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Additional lean manufacturing or six sigma qualifications preferred.
Proficiency in IFS ERP software and Microsoft SharePoint.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards.🔧 Experience:

Strong engineering background, including experience with 3D CAD at the component level.
Wide-ranging experience in a design and manufacturing environment, preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry.🔧 Personal Attributes:

Committed, dedicated, proactive, and result-oriented.
Strong multitasking skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent people skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead a problem-solving team.🔧 Work Environment:

This role is primarily based in the Production Engineering department, but you will also collaborate with the Operations department. Please note that the Operations department utilises equipment covered by the low voltage directive and high-temperature test equipment, as well as chemicals and solvents in the manufacturing process. Safety protocols and standards must always be adhered to. 🔬
