Secondary Behaviour Support Assistant
LTF Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a large secondary school in Westminster, London. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with behavioural challenges and special educational needs (SEN). You will play a key role in helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment, focusing on improving student behaviour and providing tailored support to students with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with teachers and the behaviour lead to manage and improve student behaviour across the secondary school.
Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges and SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met both academically and emotionally.
Deliver targeted interventions to address specific behavioural issues and provide focused SEN support.
Respond to on-call behaviour support requests, assisting in de-escalating challenging situations in a calm and effective manner.
Regularly monitor and adjust behaviour plans based on assessments and student progress, ensuring continuous support for both behavioural and SEN needs.
Conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students dealing with behavioural and SEN challenges.
Build strong, positive relationships with students to promote improved behaviour and foster an inclusive school experience.
Person Specification:
Experience in a secondary school behaviour support role or similar position working with students with behavioural and SEN needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and support student behaviour.
A passion for helping students overcome behavioural challenges and succeed academically, particularly those with SEN.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, especially in behaviour management and SEN support roles.If you believe you are the right fit for this secondary behaviour support role, please submit your CV.
