We are working with one of the largest UK Train Operating Companies (currently operating 464 stations, the most of any TOC in the UK), who are seeking to recruit a Mobile Train Presentation Team Leader to join the mobile train cleaning team based in Neville Hill Depot, Leeds.

They are looking for someone with a ‘go getter’ attitude who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and can lead a team by example.

The Role:

The role itself will consist of all aspects of Train Presentation Operative duties. This will include all aspects of Deep & Full cleans, from hoovering floors, replenishing/cleaning toilets, sanitizing touch points and buffering. On top of this, you will be issuing work to the cleaners, overseeing and auditing to ensure the fleet is ready for passenger service.

As a Mobile Train Presentation Team Leader, you will be covering the following locations:

Sheffield Station, Doncaster Staton, Skipton Sidings, Neville Hill Depot, Holbeck Depot, Leeds Station, Harrogate Station, York Station and Bradford Interchange. You’re ‘Home Depot’ will be Neville Hill Depot in Leeds.

Hours wise, it is an 20:00pm – 06:00am night shift role, where you will work on a 3 week rotating shift rota. The rota goes as follows:

Week 1 – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday IN. Thursday, Friday, Saturday OFF.

Week 2 – Sunday and Monday off. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday IN.

Week 3 – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday OFF.

The depots themselves are large in its presence with a requirement to be physically fit to move around the depot with no restrictions.

The Company:

The company covers the whole of the North, which includes the North East & West of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as the occasional part of the East Midlands and Staffordshire.

As a result of this, they have a large fleet of trains – 333 to be precise, so it's safe to say you will be active & busy with your role

Remuneration & Benefits:

This rail company has on offer the following for contract staff:

£13.56p/h rate
Progression routes – Our client is hiring into their business on a permanent basis after an initial phase on a 6-month contract. Once permanent you will then receive opportunities to further progress your career in a range of positions such as train presentation, engineering, customer service and more. The additional benefits include free travel on their network, discounted travel on a range of train operating companies and more.

Requirements:

Have held a UK DRIVING LICENSE FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS
Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
Be able to pass a full rail medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
Must have team leading experience, but this does NOT have to be rail based
Happy to help mentality/attitude
A decent fitness is needed as the site is very large and will involve a lot of walking, so please keep this in mind when applying
