Trainee Hydraulic Technician

Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Trainee Hydraulic Technician within the Hydraulics department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

This Trainee Hydraulic Technician position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role, you will assist the department for carrying out work required, Test, Repair & Overhaul of Civil Aircraft Landing Gear Hydraulics to a high quality standard.

Role Responsibilities will include:

Cleaning, creating paperwork, Inspect, Disassembly, Assembly, Testing and Final assembly of hydraulic units and general hydraulics. Ensuring quality standards are met on first time basis & in a timely manner.Other associated duties involve:

All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.
An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental
Ability to read CMMs.
Ability to use measuring equipment & work out torque values.
Liaison with associated departments
Work to Production priority lists - ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control.
Skills and Experience required:

Illustrate previous knowledge and experience working within an engineering facility.
Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE.
Previous experience with Hydraulics/Mechanical would be desirable, but not essential.
Desirable for the applicant to have worked within the aviation environment (not essential).
Good communication skills as need to be able to communicate with staff on business and other issues that affect the business.
Willingness to learn new skills.
Good problem solver.
Educated to at least GCSE level.
