Berkshire Talent Partnership is delighted to be working with one of the UK’s fastest-growing Independent Power Producers and Developers. The business builds, owns, and operates flexible energy infrastructure to help balance the grid, supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.

The business is seeking a Civil Supervisor with an A61 Lifting AP ticket for a 12-month contract on an exciting new energy storage project in Thurrock. This role is to act as the Principal Contractor's Civil Supervisor, and you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all civil construction works to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and on budget. The works include a large concrete pour and piling, so experience with heavy civils is needed. You will work closely with the Construction Manager, and some of your key responsibilities are detailed below:

* Health and Safety. Responsible for implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations related to civil work. This includes conducting risk assessments, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and promoting safe work practices to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries.

* Overseeing the civil Installation. To be the point of contact for civil subcontractor site management and support the resolution of any matters arising on site. This includes coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance with civil regulations and standards, reviewing project plans, and providing technical guidance to the contractor’s construction team.

* Ensuring Compliance. Ensure that all civil construction complies with relevant regulations, designs, specifications, and drawings.

* Quality Control and Inspection. Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan, identify any deficiencies or non-compliance, and provide guidance or corrective measures to rectify the issues.

* Documentation and Reporting. Ensure contractors keep accurate records in line with the Inspection and Test Plan/site procedures and store them in the appropriate online shared folder
