As an SEN/ SEMH Learning Support Assistant at this outstanding SEN secondary school, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs and mental health needs. You will work alongside experienced educators and professionals in a welcoming and inclusive environment, helping students overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

For this SEN/SEMH Learning Support Assistant role, you will:

Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs.
Assist teachers in creating and delivering tailored learning plans.
Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Promote social and emotional development among students.
Encourage independence and self-confidence in students.
Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement individual education plans.
Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
Offer emotional support and guidance to students as needed.
For this role, you will need:

Experience working, caring for, or volunteering with individuals who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and/or Social Emotional Mental Health needs is essential.
A genuine passion for supporting and advocating for young people with diverse needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
Patience, empathy, and resilience.
